Support Specialists

Sumners in-house technical support team is headed up by Chief Engineer Roger Sanderson. Roger’s team includes engineering and operational support specialists, including two Avid ACSR qualified engineers. The team also manage first line technical support in conjunction with the technical runners.

The team also work closely with the post supervision team to develop workflows that support new technologies such as tapeless working and associated data management services.

Technical support are also responsible for our in-house technical review and QAR services, that ensure that all broadcast material has a full review at Sumners before being delivered to the commissioning broadcaster. This service also includes the issuing of the required Harding Certification to meet OFCOM standards that relate to Photo-Sensitive Epilepsy (PSE).

Sumners technical team are now implementing workflows for clients that support secure data management and backup services, professionally managing file based productions. The team can advise on all aspects of production technology planning from acquisition to delivery.
